2010 Limited with some stuff
Agreed.

I run BT 7.1s in the fairing driven by the RZ4 and love it. My other 2 channels run lower titan 6.5s and it is awesome.

Soooo. Decided to go with the advice given and picked up a SS PN4.1000D to go with my 7.1's/fairing and kappas/lowers. Plan on installing them this week. Going to set gains with 1khz test tone and DMM. What do I set crossover to and at what Hz.

You have the stock HU?

Try the lowest setting of 40hz on the HPF and see how it sounds. I'd say no higher than 60ish. Those speakers can produce a decent bass.

Do I set the gains at that crossover setting or set gains and then set crossover?

Set the gain, then the crossover.

I'm willing to bet you it won't be long before you pull that stock HU for something more versatile.

With the 1000D set the gains at 12:00 o'clock straight up. Then set the crossover on HP. At that point you can set the dial to the range HAZE explained in his post. With the Gain setting at 12 you won't get any distortion with the 7.1's.
