+1

I think BT had 100.00 off their amps for Christmas (if FM reception is a must), and the Moto's by far have the most bass. Other option is the B2 and the BT 7P1 speakers. Any combination of those four (amps - 2180 or B2 speakers Motos or 7P1s) and I think your good.

But holy cow, you're gonna wait 2 YEARS to upgrade your audio again. I can't go 2 weeks!

I can't justify a BT amp, it's just far too expensive for what you get. I guess I'll just have to learn to be without FM and I'm leaning toward the B52 for $150ish. And I don't want to spend any more than $300 on speakers and the BT 7.1's are $270. I think that might be a winning combo.

Let me rephrase that, spending $400 for an amplifier would not be the smart thing to do for my situation. I can spend $150 and I shouldn't ever be able to notice a difference between the two amps.

PBR 300x2 with 6.5 focals. I had the Kappas but sold them after a day. Also a magic box.
Its as bad as I've heard from just 2 6.5's.

If your audio OCD kicks in and you just have to tweak things a bit you really have to try the Hertz Millie. Just pulled my 2 month old Focal 6.5s off the bike for Millie and the Focals will never go back on it. Pretty substantial difference/improvement and I really did like the Focals as well.

Absolutely! I will certainly keep this in mind. I know the Focals from the kappas were a huge difference. But Focals are newer and am needing to spend $ in other places right now. right now Adding the rear lids as well. WOW! What a HUGE diff!
I am sure there are better sounding systems out there. I just havent seen one better on this small of a budget. By the time I change these out, Im sure there will be another requirement.

With the stock HU that is most likely true.

Another options to consider is to choose quality components that can be moved over to the a new bike. Put the old stuff back in before you trade. Just a thought.

I'm going to have a Cerwin Vega B2 and a set of Kappa 62.11i's for sale later next week. Amp has been in the bike for 2 days and 1 test ride, Kappa's have been in about 3 weeks.
