Need some help fellas - having a discussion regarding mounting the 602 in 16 RG pods and it looks like the rubber?? ring around the magnet may cause a clearance issue, even when using adapter rings.
Any idea if the rubber piece has some value to the sound of the speaker, or can it be removed without affecting performance if necessary to gain clearance?

Hi Colin,
The rubber cover over the magnet is purely cosmetic. I have encountered a fitment issue on some 2015 Road glides but removing the rubber magnet cover has always solved the problem.
