I want to challenge all of us regulars here to help break the "group think" mentality I think we have here. There was a thread a while back where someone posted that it was Biketronics or nothing on this forum and it was mainly due to this forum being tailored for average joe rider vs. big wheel bagger. When Mark from Low Life started posting he challenged our suggestions and I think we need more of that. Heck my bike sounds better right now after I tried the high level inputs! Then quickly found out my other amp didn't sound as good with high level inputs.
Maybe I'm way off or completely wrong but I do quite a bit of reading, research, and testing (ok more like messing around) products at home, and often I just see the same advice recycled with no challenge or worse much substance behind it. Unfortunately, I think we are also all victims of the limited info there is out there with regard to Bike audio. There's dozens of car audio forums, 100's of car audio competitions, etc. but for bikes we hear Garage Bagger Stereo and now Cam Johnson's Mille video. Truth is DA Performance has killed it at Daytona the last few years, they just don't post videos or advertise as much so no one talks about them. Here's something to consider - I've received PM's from three different members saying they were disappointed in the Hertz Mille Pro's, another said they weren't loud enough with a Diamond Micro4 Amp as seen on the Facebook video.
I'm open for suggestions?
Somehow figure out a way to do a review of the week?
You know who get's kudos for breaking this. Babyboy when he figured out a way to make the 1000D fit in his bike. He's got some more homemade fabrication that hopefully he'll share.
p.s. Yes, i've been watching playoff football and having some beers today.
I'm definitely not the norm of this site! I'm running Power accoustik horns, Beyma pro 6.5 mids off of a diamond micro2, & waiting for my 8.8's & lids from voodoo which will be power off of a micro4 bridged, I also pulled the info deck in favor of a pioneer single din with BT mounting kit & hand controls! I'm running my horns off of the deck at the moment!
Boom! Beyma's......yeah man, we need more of that here. You should post a vid some time.
You know what sounds better than the PA horns. The AB horns, and they are 109db and will get loud off your HU. I had the Sounstreams on my last bike and the AB's smoke them.
I'm not good at getting videos to post, I can barely get a pic on site!!!! I'll definitely look into the AB's, I've got a set of AB mid drivers that wouldn't fit in my pods that look like monsters, but there's a few of my bro's around with batwing bikes that I may put them in!

I'd like ot see how much room those 8.8's take up so if you could snap some pics that would be awesome!
haze, I've been bouncing around facebook, here and now chopped baggers trying to see all side. I think it's a great idea and love reading the post like those that were in the Mark from Low Life thread.

Thanks for the acknowledgment HAZE.
As soon as I get my next adventure completed and get the inconsistent's figured out and all is good I will definitely share with a write up and pictures.
I think it could be a $$$ saver for those on a budget and have some fabrication skills. (Kind of like me after the holidays having more time than money)

Team,
I'd love to see an example or two 1000d installs to choose from to make the 1000d fit. Well, we actually know it fits but what's the best way to support it. I have some straps coming. Gman showed me what he did. I'd like to see yours too if you get around to it. Thanks!
