Well, the boom mat in the rear pods does little but when cranked you can feel the air pushing out wire holes in pods and the fronts can feel it very well...might try a larger hole, only put a ž hole in all of them.

When I had my 89flhtcu I was looking for more lower end out of the rear pods I ported the to the tour pack as the 14 and newer bikes are and it did help on the bass.
I was at Menards and found a 1 inch PVC coupler and put reducers on it to port it to the tour pack it did work but I was using a very weak amp but it did help some
