Default Bt2180

Thinking of an amp for my '15 SGS.
I will be using my stock 6.5 HU and just the 2 batwing speakers. Right now I have the next up from stock HD speakers. Stage1's???? Those may get replaced at some time, but not with anything crazy. No intentions of more than the 2 speakers and want no fm reception loss. I want plug and play.

Been reading about the BT2180 till my head spins. Flash, no flash. Line leveler or not, No amp gain......
So simply put......Is this a good plug and play amp for someone wanting just a bit more volume and sound? What all is needed to use this amp with my stock radio? Or is a RF amp better suited over this one?
I know these questions have been discussed numerous times, but usually with more confusion to my lack of knowledge.

If your not going to change speakers then the RF PBR300x2 would be a better amp choice and you may still blow those speakers with that amp. You don't need a flash but you will need the line leveler from Biketronics.

Chances are I will be replacing those speakers, but keeping it simple= better than what I have but not crazy $$. So I want to work with that in mind. I read Kappas get good reviews here. About that price range is preferred. 100-200

Line lever= no flash. Great!

What is better about the RF amp over the BT? Besides cost
Thanks

The BT 2180 is by far a better amp but you'll need far better speakers than what you have or what your looking at to run with that amp. The PVR300x2 is one of the few other than BT that will not affect FM.

I second the above opinions. If saving $ and not doing high-end speakers, go Rockford. If you're even thinking about maybe running some higher end speakers, put up the dough for the 2180. The amp is the heart of your system, at least having a good amp you know you can always upgrade the speaker in the future having good clean power ready to use. If you land on Kappas, they're pretty good for the money.

Biketronics line leveler over flash ALL DAY.
