has anyone built their own rear speaker pods?? i want a custom look. painted to match tour pak. light guage sheet metal and lined with some dynomat. any thoughts?

I think that would look bad azz, it would give the pods a custom look. It would definitely stand out from the crowd, and using dynamat would make it sound good. if you do it definitely take pics!
if i had to do it again, id go with a simpler design. from the pics you can see i decided to "wrap" the pods around the front corner of the pak. this will give them a bit more stability, but my main reason was to increase the width between the pods for passenger comfort. with some fanagling and lots of putzing, i managed to gain about 3 inches of space between them. keep in mind that i am using hogtunes gen 3 6.5s back there with the new smaller magnet. just my choice. also notice i added a 4th bolt and weldnut to the pods. more pics as they start to take shape.

While you are still in the fabrication stage still did you think about possibly porting the pods into the tourpack for some added bass?
