Got the BT brackets for my 2014 flhtk. Not very happy with them. I can not the the inner and outer fairing to come together at the outside edges. There just doesnt seem to be enough support to draw them together. I already drilled the xtra hole next to the speaker and bolted the inner to the bt bracket there. Any other ideas? Thanks.
I couldn't get mine to go back together as smoothly as it did with the factory pods either. Had to do a little pushing and shoving especially on the bolts by the mirrors, but it did go together. I plan on doing the extra bolt hole mod soon also and will see what I can do then.
You have to have patience. Mine wasn't perfect either, but after some pushing and manipulating, it went together fine. Had them on for most of last season and have had the fairing off numerous times after tweeking the setting on the amp and now there are no alignment issues.

Just a thought, did you use the supplied stand offs for the fairing?

I know about alignment issues, that wasnt my concern. My problem is the inner and outer not going back together completely. I am hoping i dont have to pull it apart again because it is a real pain to get the windshield screws in now. Thanks

I have a bit of a problem lining up the the spacer connected to the bracket on the right side (brake side) when installing the fairing. Put a screw in the top middle windshield hole then go to the difficult screw. You will be able to look inside and line it up. The cage nut can be moved some also.

Yeah Bertk, i can get them all lined up well enough to get the bolts put in. The outside windshield bolts are what are the big trouble for me. Then when it is all together there is still a space on the outer edges of the inner and outer fairing. Thanks.

Is the space on the outer edge of the windshield or at the very outside edge of the fairing?
Does the windshield sit flush with the inner fairing?
I had the same probs when i had the standoffs on. I had a big gap all the way around. I took them off and the fairing went on. Still a little bit of a pain though.
