Default New System Finally Finished

Finally got everthing to finish the new system on my 2011 Limited. First thought that went through my mind was, what a DA I've been for waiting so long to upgrade from the crap I've been listening to, stock HU and HT speakers. Started out a few months ago planning to repalce just the 4 speakers. That was until I came across this forum one night while reading speaker reviews and it didn't take much reading for me to realize, that, just 4 speakers would have been another DA move.

Here's what I ended up going with. New HU KW 799, BT 4180, BT 7.1 pros, ARC 602 and new rear pods from Junes. Long way from just 4 speakers but worth every dam dime.

While I was waiting on the pods to come in, I went ahead and got the HU, Amp and Pros installed and working. Could have stopped there and been satisfied. Couldn't ever hear the rear pods before so it wasn't like I was losing anything and the amp and pros were loud and crystal clear. Pods finally showed up and got everything finished. The 602's took the system to another level. DAM these babies ROCK. Not sure when I'll get the first ride in, weather sux right now and I don't think it's going to get over about 28 this weekend. I did get the bike cranked just to here the system at idle and with a few revs, still sounded awesome. From what I had before I don't believe I'll be disappointed at 70 MPH.

This is the first forum I've ever joined and the only reason I joined was, I was impressed with the honest help and advice you audio gurus give, that's hard to find now days. Just like to say THANKS. Let you know when I get her on the road.

Once you get it on the road and allow the speakers to break in some it will sound even better. Your setup is similar to mine but better with the pros installed. An excellent combination. This setup will sound just as good at 80 as it does a 40.

+1 Yep those Moto's and Pro's don't fade at 80. Excellent Homework!

Ok Gann, you told me the Moto's and the Pro's wouldn't fade at 80. Bert said this system would sound as good at 80 as it does at 40. Well, my only comment to that is, Truer Words Were Never Spoken.
Got the bike out last weekend and the boss lady and I took an afternoon ride. Just rode out through the county on the back roads for about an hour, system sounded great. Didn't crank it up much, she usually slaps me in the back and yells turn it down, so I didn't want to get put in the doghouse on the first ride. I've never thought of my wife as a person that cared much about sound quality. Anytime I've ever tried to adjust the stereo in any car she has ever owned, she always says, leave it alone it sounds fine to me. So I was surprised when we got back to the house and I ask her what she thought. First thing she said was, everything we listen to today sounded good, I can hear the words and music better, it's more clear than it was before. Then she hit me with this one, you can turn it up a little more now, It just didn't sound that good before. Women, you think you know them after 30 yrs.
I got back on the bike and headed for the highway, had to find out about this 80 thing for myself. As I got to the ramp M H Dreams I'll Never See started I was able to see the HU enough to get the volume to 29. Hit the highway at 70, drums came in at the beginning of the song and WOW. Loud, Clear and I could feel every drum beat hitting me in the chest twisted the throttle and hit 80, Still Loud, Clear and hitting hard. Needless to say I rode the next few miles Grinning like a mule eating briars. Looking forward to our annual ride to the Smokey Mountains, in a couple of months.

Read a couple strange comments here the last few weeks. Not sure what those guys were smoken when they said what they did. Just want you to know, go ahead and add me to the BT SUCKER list, dam proud to be on the list. As for all the " Audio Wannabes "here, I'd rather take your advice seven days a week and twice on Sunday, than to read some of the crap I've found on other sites, which I no longer go to.
Best Damn Bike Audio Forum On The Web.

I attached a couple of videos I made for a couple of friends, that wanted to hear my system. Don't think I'll do much of that anymore, Just doesn't do the system justice. Be gentle with your comments, I get my feelings hurt easy LOL

That sounds awesome JR!!! Those BT Pro really stand out!!!

I't also nice to be able to hear the rear speakers going down the road I bet.
And if the OL is happy everyone's happy.

BTW, you have a beautiful place there. Love the view.

Congrats on the new system.

There is something that my ears really do like about the combination of BT Speakers and ARC Motos.

Awesome set up JR!!! Very nice work!!!

I think I may have created a monster as well. My dragon was rib punching me on a regular basis regarding audio being too damn loud but now I catch her singing her **** off on a regular basis. It's kind of embarrassing. Might put my boom back in the sled as this specific risk was not taken into consideration when I did the audio upgrade.

Enjoy your tunes Brotha!!!!! Nice job!!!!

Thanks Bertk.

JR I'm not sure what your showing off here, your tunes or your place. Both are pretty friggin sweet.

Tail, if your crank it loud enough brother it'll just look like she's lip syncing!!!!

One thing I have experienced is after installing a good quality sounding system I don't find the need to crank up the volume really high to get good sound front and rear. With my last system I had to crank it up to get fair sound which over a couple or three hours caused fatigue and had to shut it off. A really good sounding system makes riding more enjoyable all day long.

I would say your wife is a testimonial to this.
