Dayum!!!!!! That's $704 at Boardtracker. I believe you'd be cheaper having it done yourself. I had both my inner fairing and speaker boxes done for under $500.
The toe area of your boot fits inside the lower fairing near the vents. I didn't know if I'd like them but after several trips in the cold and rain I wouldn't be without them.

U guys with the lowers, can u guys still lay your feet out on the floorboards with the lowers on? Im so torn on getting lowers.
Honestly I hated the lowers on my 12 RGU, first thing I took off. I'm 6'3'' with long legs and size 13 boats for feet. Felt like they cramped my feet too much.
Fast forward to the current RG with the forward pans and spacers, I love the lowers now. The boards are moved up and out to where I can rest my heels on the board and off to the side of the lowers. Would've thought moving the boards up would make it worse but it doesn't for some reason?
Bert, you can paint your speaker boxes your self using paintscratch.com or colorrite.com. They sell complete spray can kits with prep and clear ect. for around $60-$80. I just used dark grey bumper paint (for plastic) on my boxes to match the original glove goxes, but matching your paint does look better, you can even shoot the grills to match. I ordered the factory matched vented lowers like you did. I have an EZ brake pedal (extended forward and lower than stock brake pedal and EZ shifter lever's which are longer than stock levers, gives me more room on the floorboards). Any way the vented portion of the lowers kept getting in my way (foot would hit them) so I removed those parts which gave me more room and increased the air flow to the engine ! I'm sure you have also seen the thread where somebody put BT 7.1's in their lowers, what speakers are you leaning towards...602's... Focals ? Haze has had both in his lowers I think, what is his opinion. I know Gan likes the 602's in the lowers, good luck Bro!

Lot's of good info here Mike.
Thanks for the paint links. If the speaker boxes get painted I'll do it myself with one of these products. Did eight years of autobody.
I'll check out the EZ break and shifter.
Removing the vents is a good idea. It's going to start getting hot down here soon and want to keep the engine as cool as possible.
Speakers, this is the hard part. I'm considering the 602's (I like them just as much as Gan!) and the Hertz HCX 165. The fact that they both have adjustable tweeters is a plus in that location.
The Focal K2's would be the ultimate, but more than I would like to spend thou.
Tailwind mentioned the Focal KRC coax speakers. I have to look into these a little further.
I forgot about the 7.1's, but I like the looks of the 6.5's with the CVO grills.

When I fitted up the lowers, I pulled the vents clean out. I remember even riding with them open I wasn't happy with the air flow.
And obviously when you need speakers...I know a guy...*cough cough* If you just want some prices to compare to help your decision, shoot me a pm my friend.
