Thanks for the paint links. If the speaker boxes get painted I'll do it myself with one of these products. Did eight years of autobody.
I'll check out the EZ break and shifter.
Removing the vents is a good idea. It's going to start getting hot down here soon and want to keep the engine as cool as possible.
Speakers, this is the hard part. I'm considering the 602's (I like them just as much as Gan!) and the Hertz HCX 165. The fact that they both have adjustable tweeters is a plus in that location.
The Focal K2's would be the ultimate, but more than I would like to spend thou.
Tailwind mentioned the Focal KRC coax speakers. I have to look into these a little further.
I forgot about the 7.1's, but I like the looks of the 6.5's with the CVO grills.
Yeah It will help keep your AZZ a... ...little cooler also...LOL
Just under two week and the painted lowers are on there way from Broadtracker HD! The grills and speaker boxes are already here.
Still deciding on speaker options. The Mille's are in the fairing and I already have a set of BT6.5's on hand. I'll give these a try first but want to have a Plan B ready if needed.
What I am looking for is a full, warm, clear sound coming from the front.
I'm sure I have overlooked a lot of good combinations, so any and all suggestions are welcome.
Fairing: Mille Pos
Lowers: Moto 602
Fairing: BT7.1
Lowers: Mille Pros - Moto 602 - BT6.5
T, Bunker, it looks like you are both on the same page after the speaker testing you have both done. Having the 602's in the ultra I can certainly agree. But having the Mille's I'm going to give them a shot first.
I was just checking out the Focal EC 165K which appears to be the replacement for the 165KRC.
The most obvious difference is the EC has no crossover. Some of the materials have changed along with some minor (minor to me) changes to the specs. The frequency graph shows a change also.

Hoping that since the crossover logic is now built into the speaker itself, I would only assume that less raw material equals a cheaper price, right?
Hell, if u have the Millies run the hell out of them. We tested them as stand alone fairing speakers and they did well, so if u are going to run another set that compliments the specific range they might be just a little light on, this could be a very good set up. I think Gan liked them a bunch when he had them in the lowers but cannot remember what the complimenting set was.
Ya never know till u try.

Logically yes, in the real world of business No... lol
As riding season approaches we can all see that audio prices are at a premium.
Anyhow LL is looking into the new prices.

You are correct, and from what I have read the Mille's sound even better when connected to an aftermarket HU. And I must say for a two speaker setup they sound pretty dame good tuned with the 998x. As we know two is not enough.
