Pop with Power Power Down and Security Power Cycle
Okay, feeling like I made a mistake here with this hogtunes purchase. Is anyone getting a pop though the speaker after shutting of the key/power switch and the security system flashes the blinkers? There is also a popping when the bike is off and the 4-way hazards are flashing, with each flash!
Of course suddenly this fully "plug & play" system is my problem to fix, according to hogtunes tech support- damn it!
Parts are their 4-way amp kit with 4 speakers.
Bike is 2014 SGS with added tour-pak and speaker HD pods.

Are the power and ground cables on the amp ran to the battery?
Where do you have your remote wire hooked to?
I have the power wires ran direct to the battery and the remote wire is run to the matching accessory plug on the brake side of the fairing. This is the same accessory power lead that is mirrored on the clutch in which I ran my internal antenna to, on the speaker pod.
The issue is that it seems that all of the accessory power leads pulse with the security system, and I thinks, the flashers. I am going to test the later tonight.

Thanks!
Just a curious / dumb question, when u say power wires run "direct" to the battery what specifically are u connecting the red and black wires to?
Everything I have put in the sled have instructed me to tie the black wire to a designated grounding point other than the battery. Are you actually connecting the black wire to the battery? Or the post adjacent to the battery?

Hey Tailwind, that is a good question/ observation, I have it hooked directly to the battery. I did not realize there was another post somewhere I could hook to.

I will look into that- Thanks!
U and I have the same sleds, so if u look about 2" forward of the battery directly in front the right / black battery lead and about 4" down, you will find a post that has a few other wired grounded there. Think it's an 11 metric nut, or that seemed to work the best with the harder access. Stuff your hand in there from the right side panel area to manage the nut and wires.
I don't know shix about electrons, but since all of my past instructions pointed me towards this ground point, there has to be a reason. I hope!!!

Hope this fixes the issue.

Thanks man! I will give it a shot. I wish that Hogtunes had more help on this, I feel like this is a problem they should fix, not me. I am going to do a lot more research on these companies before I spend significant amounts of money again. I been stung too many times with poor quality and beta testing!
That's what this forum is here for, to try to stop people from going down that road and give as much feedback and info as possible. Ain't nothing worse than a company that's all too happy to take your money and leave you high and dry when there's a problem.

Thanks man! I wished I would have known more before I bought this stuff.
UPDATE: After testing that the amp pops with any input, Hogtunes has requested that I send it in for testing. Now, the are going to try it on some other bikes to see if they do the same thing-fingers crossed...
