I'm asking because it's the 692s that should be occupying your lids my friend!
I hear that 692s produce good bass, and also that 6x9s firing towards the rear tire is the way to go for bass...that being said, I'd like to focus on those first, but I get where you are saying. Not sure how I'm gonna mount them though...the 14+ Hogtune lids were designed to work with their speakers...only thing I can think of is cutting the speaker bridge and leaving it there since that is part of the seal...We'll see though, don't have the funds for another set of 692s just yet. Gonna focus on upgrading to the 4180 first.

I'm just gonna throw this out there. Only because I've put the 692's in my bags firing inwards. This has been said before, but I'm going to reiterate it. You HAVE to drive those speakers...especially in the bags. I had 150 watts going to them and it was ok...but not nearly enough. Fast forward to yesterday...300 watts! Now we're talking!!! Only do it once bro. You wont regret it!

What amp are you running? Or shall I ask what's your setup right now? Thanks in advance.

I'm not at liberty to say just yet. Lol (Although I have listed everything in a prior post)
I owe a certain someone a video that I promised and have not got that done just yet...then I will post it here as well as my entire setup. Let's just say that there is such a thing as a unicorn!
As Gann has stated, the lower sensitivity of the 692 needs juice. They have a great low end! But buried in the bags makes them need even more (in my opinion).

Silicone the base of the original tweeter bridge and Dremel the actual bridge part off and you will have a nice sealed 6x9 platform to attach to.
BT4180 and NVX under the hood. 6 speakers. Fairing - 4180, Lids - 4180, In bag speaks - NVX. JM amp tray. Fits like it was meant to be.

Just seen your setup, think you can clarify your setup for me? I read your thread but still confused...never bridged an amp before...I'm almost positive I want to run your setup, but not sure what I need. How much y-splitters? I essentially want to run the BT 7.1s in the fairing, 692s in the lids, and 692s in the bags.

his setup is AMAZING! I heard it this past weekend, rode with him for a couple days. The sound is so clear and full, just amazing!
