Just wondering if the 2180 has enough power to run my BT 7.1s in the front, and arc moto 692's in the bags (firing towards the rear wheel) in parallel? I currently have hogtunes 6x9s in the lids powered by a pbr300x2, and my 7.1s are powered by the 2180. Both with BT LLs. Just wanted to add another set of 6x9s in the bags without having to buy another amp...which I'll probably upgrade to the 4180 eventually. Haha. So back to the point, can the 2180 handle 7.1s and arc moto 692s in parallel? Sorry in advance since I'm not an audio guru...
Nope (I mean, technically you can --- but it won't sound that great).
You're going to rob power from the speakers that are right in front of you while you ride, and power a completely different set of speakers with a much lower sensitivity. You should really try to run in parallel the same speakers or ones that have almost the same specs. I would bite the bullet and get a 4 channel man.

Thanks Haze, I was worried that was the case...I'll probably go with the 4180 to power the 7.1s and the 692s. If I go that route, should I run the hogtunes lids 6x9s on the 2180? I'll just toss the pbr on the side...so my setup would eventually be a 2180 and 4180 in the fairing (if they fit)...hope that makes sense.
If you're gonna thru the trouble of drilling out holes and dropping some 6X9's inside your bags, just put the amp in the bags too! Those amps hardly take up any space man.
I'm trying to figure out why you're keeping Hogtunes speakers in the lids, but 692s in the bags???
The lids came with the hogtunes 6x9s so I figured I'd use em for now...they actually sound pretty good! I'm the type that puts miles on my bike, rain or shine, so I need to compromise a little between a bad *** setup, and one that can withstand the weather here in Hawaii...believe me, I ride with guys with slammin sounds, but when we hit rain, it's a different story...I don't wanna worry about having to scramble to keep my sounds dry when a down pour occurs...so when BT comes out with 6x9s that adapt to the newer 14' lids, I'll be first in line.

I'm asking because it's the 692s that should be occupying your lids my friend!
