Does any one know if the J&M ROKKER Series Tweeters kit for a 98-13 Harley Street Glide Batwing # HTWT-1025-CRF will fit in the Hogtunes Tweeter dash pod.
I have a friend who likes the Hogtunes dash pod but wants to swap out the speakers with the J&M tweeters.
I'm wondering if this can even be done. I'm sure there will be some fabrication or modifications needed as the tweeters are different sizes.
I believe the J&M tweeters are about 1/2 inch larger in diameter. If anyone knows if this is even possible or has done it, I'd love to hear from you.
He's buying a 500 watt AMP. The only question is, can he remove the Hogtunes tweeters and replace them with the J&M tweeters. Do you have a recommendation on another brand of tweeter?
Brother hear me out man. It's not just about adding tweeters or what brand they are, or 500w watts. Specifically what amp, and how is going to power the tweeters. If it's in parallel with a set of speakers then high sensitivity tweeters will be to be way too bright and sound like garbage -- you'd want to power those from the head unit. Conversely if you power low sensitivity tweeters from the HU they won't be loud enough. Regardless I wouldn't buy anything J&M. Depending what else I had, and how it was wired would determine the components.
