Default Speaker supplied power question?

So if I add lower faring speakers. I have a M4-3000D amp. Specs say at 2 ohms 375 x 4 speakers. I currently have all 4. Two front and two rear at 150 watts. Because that is what the kappas can handle. Understanding that the specs listed are high? Shouldn't I be able to run 4 speakers off the front connection of amp? That would still give me about 90 watts per speaker x 4 for the front. Or is that not a good idea? Am I not reading that right or correctly? Thanks

They would all have to be 4 ohm and be ran in parallel.

It is what it is brother. That's always the issues when planning your system in the beginning. Most of us start out thinking a simple upgrade will suffice and choosing 2ohm speakers really limits the abilities to "add on" later.

Since I don't know a thing about supplied power to speakers I have to ask. I have a 2014 sgs and plan on keeping the stock hu. Santa brought me a Stinger SPX700X4 amp, Infinity Kappa 62.11i speakers to replace the fairing speakers and Hertz MPX 690.3 6x9's for the bag lids. Will there be issues with that setup? Thanx

As long as you don't add lowers or anything and try to parallel them to the kappas, you should be ok. The kappas are 2 ohm and the mpx are 4 ohm. Just be sure to run the kappas off channels 1/2 and the mpx off channels 3/4 on your amp. You will need a bt355 line leveler or 2 depending on how you set it up unless you have a dsp or have the hu flashed. Lots of "ifs" there.

Thanks. I'm going to pay to have it all installed. The local place said they are able to flash the hu. Will I still need the line leveler or 2? I would like to have all needed parts for the install.

Not if your indy has the ability to flash it. Tell them you want fade control so you can fade front to rear. It wont cost any more and having fade control can add to the personalized listening pleasure.

So I know a guy. lol He is selling all the stuff off his old bike and rebuilding new everything bags , wheels. Speakers! Well he said he would sell me the lower adapters and speakers for 150.00 for the pair. Which sounds like a decent deal. But I can't tell what the speakers are?He said they are pioneer but I can find anything like them on line. Can you tell from the pick what they are? I am going to put the Hertz HCX 165 in the faring and run the parallel like you suggested. Sometimes this audio stuff is like an arms race!
