Default Lowers speaker/pod/amp recommendations

All, I have a '16 Street Glide with factory lowers. I have already installed the Biketronics 2180 and 7.1 fairing set up. I thought I would be satisfied and love the system but am considering more. I now wonder is I should have gone with the 4180 from the get go. Oh well.

I'm looking for recommendations on:
1) Lower fairing pods
2) Can I still use the 2180?
3) If so, how do I wire the 4 speaks with the 2180 and will I lose sound quality?
4) What speakers? Love my 7.1s and if running off the 2180 doesn't it make sense to use the same speakers?

Obviously, I want the upgrade to work well together with my existing set up.
Thanks!

Moto 602's wired in parallel off that amp. The 602's will add some bass.

09 is correct in regard to the Moto's adding some bass. Great speakers. The issue then becomes wiring 88db speakers in parallel with the high sensitivity 7.1's. In order to wire in parallel the sensitivity should be close to equal for both speakers to sound good. You need the BT4180 or go with the BT Titan II's in the lowers. They wil be fine running in parallel with the 2180.

Thanks for the feedback.

Any suggestion on the lower pods? Brand, price, vendor would be great.

Being a neophyte, how do you wore speakers in parallel to sound right? Will I loose volume?

Do I just need my one BT355 line leveler?

Maybe even the most basic question is...is it worth the upgrade to add lower speakers?

I appreciate the help!

Parallel wiring is positive to positive and negative to negative.

One line leveler

Lower fairing speakers are definitely worth it!!

Thanks again Gannicus.

Any recommendations on what brand of vented lower speaker pods for a Rushmore to get, where to get them and price?

I generally prefer H-D quality but can't find ones for my bike on the website. They are probably rediculously expensive so all suggestions are appreciated.

I just got done installing lower on a 2008 SG. Here's a thread with before and after videos.

Having a vivid black bike there are several brands available that will come already painted.

I went with the HD vented lower. If you go this route you will also need CVO speaker boxes and grills also. From what I was told pre Rushmore lower will also fit our bike.

Here is what you would need if you go with HD parts.
2014+ Painted Lowers PN:57100257DH $700
Vivid Black speaker boxes PN: 76000497DH $280
CVO speaker grills PN:76000065 $31 each
Grill screws PN: 10200012 (10) $8.40

You can save 20% on parts by ordering them online from Boardtracker HD

I already have the 2016 vented lowers so it sounds like I just need the boxes, grills and screws. Thx. They are proud of them aren't they?

Here's another option for speaker boxes.

Ok folks.. I bit the bullet. Titan IIs and the CVO pods/grills on the way.

Do I just run the lower wires off the fairing speakers by splicing in the wires to new connectors or should I just splice into the wires straight off the BT355?

Thanks
