OK so I am going for the Sony mex-m70bt in my 14 FLHTP.
Suggestions on amp and speakers?
I like more base in my sound and not a lot of high end
But still want to hear it if crusing across SD at 90
Damn that's like asking for the holy grail. If there's a set up that you can effectively hear the bass from 6.5inch speakers at 90mph some please let me know!!! I think that's called a unicorn.
I like to stay in the 300 range but if I talk nice enough the the Miss's I can mayby go 500.
As for the first post I know I will need some high end to hear at 90 but most my ridding will be in the 60 mph rang lol so hopefully I can get a 6.5 that does good on the low Ind for this speed.

Does the FLHTP use pods as an inner fairing support? If so, those pods is what's going to hold you back from getting really good sound and low end. 300 range is gonna be tough, do-able....but you gotta have realistic expectations. 400-500 you can do some more damage.
Amp - Cerwin B2 or B52 - 125.00 - 150.00
Speakes - Hertz HCX 165 (contact forum member/vendor LL247 he can get some good pricing) these roughly sell for 250-275.00 online.
With those pods you'll want to drill out a 2-3 inch hole, and lightly place some polyfill inside the pod.
Then add another 20 bucks for amp wiring, RCA's, etc.
