I think I got confused somewhere reading all the wealth of info. I am thinking about going with high/level input(RF PBR 300x2). My question is do I still need a line leveler or the dealer reflash for the better sound?
Yes you still want a line leveler. Problem is the PBR's work better with high level inputs so you might want to think about a different amp (Cerwin Vega B52)

You are saying I would need another amp?
I would be using the PBR amp for high level inputs.
The line leveler has RCA (low level) outputs so you would use the low level inputs to the amp. No, you do not NEED another amp, the PBR will work but for some reason they work BETTER with high level

I apologize by I am even more confused now, because I know I have seen where forum members are using the high level inputs with these amps, but you are saying you need to use a line level to get good sound. So are you saying they are not using the line levelers, which goes back to my original question.
I guess my next question is how are they doing this?
You need a line leveler because you have a Rushmore (2014 and newer). the 2013 and older bikes do not need the leveler so they can just use the high levels (speaker wires) directly to the PBR's

If you are going to use high level inputs you dont need a loc, just wire your head units speaker outputs directly to the amp. I have a 15 street glide, stock HU with the Rockford flash, soundigital amp , bridged and the GZ yellow baskets in the fairing.
Today I tried using the high level inputs over low level inputs (loc), and was surprised how much clearer the music sounded and the bass and treble adjustments actually make a difference. Make sure to reset your amp gains, and I had to unhook the 12v assc amp turn on.

2015 SG
Get the HU flashed. Either the RF flash or the 8/2 (flattest) flash. I think that amp is speaker level inputs only? If so, not sure you need a loc at all.
That amp uses both, high level inputs, or RCA inputs. Obviously RCA input would require a LOC converter to RCA.
The RCA ends can also be cut off to wire in high level, or you can make an adapter cable with an old set of RCAs.
I haven't used that amp on anything newer than 2013, but I would think you would want to flash the HU on anything 2014 and newer regardless of RCA or high level inputs going to the amp.
