Default Low or high level inputs

I'm trying to improve my stereo one piece at a time. I've borrowed a buddy's Biketronics line leveler to install between my stock head unit and the Rockford PBR300X2 (powering Kicker 6.75" speakers) as a first step to seeing how far I want to go.

My Rockford amp only came with the connector for speaker level inputs. I remember reading that was the best way to connect the amp anyway but that was before the BT355 was a thing. So, now I need a new connector to hook to the RCA jacks and want the best quality connection possible. Should I go with the RCA to speaker level connector (high level) or the RCA to RCA amp connection (low level)?

Thanks.

So after reading more tonight, I think I've determined that the Biketronics line leveler isn't reality effective unless you're using rca level signal to the amp. I've also heard it mentioned repeatedly that the PBR300X2 is a much more powerful, lively amp using speaker level inputs. Great. Screwed either way. I'm about to get an Indian.

While I haven't received much feedback about my original thoughts, I'll throw one more question in here.

Although it sounds like the BT355 is only real effective when using low level inputs, which isn't the best choice for the Rockford PBR300X2 amp, if I do go with speaker level inputs, is there anything to be gained by wiring a line converter in to convert the RCA to speaker level inputs? I'm confused if this would still be a speaker level input...I think it would be, but, is converting the signal the line leveler is 'fixing' to speaker level inputs still negating the upside of the line leveler.

Right now my system actually doesn't sound terrible but seems like it distorts too easily at higher sound levels and specifically when the motor is running, which I understand why. I'm leaning towards just scrapping the RF amp and Kicker speakers for the Diamond Audio Micro and Hertz speakers, but would like to try a line leveler to see if that gets me closer to where I want to be.

Car audio used to be easy.

If anyone is interested, I decided on a rca to speaker level connector from the biketronics line leveler. It has a clearer sound but seems to have lost volume. All in all, I have very little in to it with a $150 amp and $50 kicker speakers. I'd say it's worth it but looking for more now.
