Default Suggestions for arc amp settings?

I have the arc 125.2 bx amp, biketronics Titan II speakers, and a Sony Dsx-200 deck with hawg wired adapter.
Just trying to figure out what settings work best on the amo in other peoples experience:
1- gains
2- bass boost
3- crossover
4- bx bass on or off?
5- output high or full?

Right now it seems like I have to out the volume up to almost full...with the harmon kardon head unit it seemed louder though not as clear at half to 3/4 volume. Although I am using the RCA connections now instead of the high level inputs.
Thanks

I just installed my setup last weekend. I haven't had much time to mess with it but I have noticed the 3/4 volume thing. Mine is clear sounding (make sure you are using a good music source, it makes a big difference). If the sound is not clear, check your wiring, something may be hooked up wrong.

Like yours, the volume is very low until it gets to about 3/4 volume, so low I can't hear the music. Adjusting the gain gets more volume and it will get plenty loud but whether or not the gain is high or low makes no difference in the low volume range. All the sound comes from the last 1/4 of the dial range. Something is not right there.

It should be if the gain is set too high the volume will jump from zero to full blast by barely turning the volume dial. If the gain is set too low then then the volume increase will be barely noticeable when turning the volume dial and may not reach full volume. It needs to be set some place in the middle, but so far there is no middle.

As far as I can tell I have it all connected correctly. The only two things we have in common are the Arc amp and the Hawg Wired adapter.

I had the ELF amp installed up until this weekend when I switched it out to the RF amp.

On the ELF I had gains set with arrow at 12:00 position (straight up), bass boost adjusted to suit and crossover less than 110, output on full.

I've read that the RCA outputs on the HK unit might not be very strong so you should try the high level inputs. I just used some wires with spade connectors and plugged them into the speaker output wires and then to the amp.

This setup was plenty loud and around town I never went much above 1/4 volume.

I called the Arc people (the number on their web site), they said the only thing they could think of was the button on the side next to the high input connecter and RCA connecter might be pushed in. It needs to be pushed out. I checked mine, it was out. When pushed in all the sound disappeared. No help there.
