Looks like I will be installing the 1.19.0 once my speaker trays get here from Boardtracker. Just in time for the Memorial Day weekend.

For those of you who have installed "speaker cloth" to minimize water intrusion, any issues with sound quality? Where did you get the speaker cloth? I assume you attached it to the underside of the grills?

Parts Express sells it. It's called Mellotone Premium speaker grill cloth. Spray a few coats of water proofer on it and done.

Many ways to install, from getting headliner spray and attaching it to the inside of the grill, to the simplest install of just holding it over the face of the speaker, as ur mounting the speaker in place.

I used the hydrophobic cloth from cyclesounds and it seemed to work well with no sound issues.

If these gaskets are not available 3M double sided can be used and can be found at Autozone or other auto parts stores.

Boom! Audio fairing lower speaker kit Instructions

Or you can go with one piece speaker boxes from eBay for well under $100, without grills.
Bert, I thought I had all the parts but the instructions also call for 4 - Screw, self tapping 1/4" x .75" (no part #) and 6 - Screw, #10 self tapping (Part # 2995). Are these readily available or do I need to go to HD? Not familiar with a #10 self tapping screw. Maybe Lowes?

Ace hardware always has whatever I need, they may be a little on the expensive side but cheaper then HD.

+1, bring the list of screws you need and that way you can choose the color and drive type. Most use a black with either a hex (allen wrench) or torx drive but you can get a Phillips too.

I think the parts list is complete. The HD instructions are confusing. If you find anything missing let me know.

Nope, nothing missing. All went together really well. My next step is to wire the Titans into my BT 2180. I checked my box but didn't see any wiring diagram. When I called and ordered they made it sound it was a piece of cake. I believe I am running them in parallel so no line leveler. Does this mean I wire right off of the fairing speakers?

Just confirming, you are running the BT7.1's in the fairing and adding the BT6.5's in to lowers.

If so the BT6.5's will plug directly into the BT2180 to run them in parallel. The existing LL will is all you need. There will be no fade between the uppers and lowers.

Correct. That's on tonight's agenda. I found a couple of challenges along the way. First, the location of the hole I drilled to run the wires. Based on my interpretation of HD instructions, the back fairing piece was fairly tight and couldn't pull the wire after it was buttoned up. I loosened it up a bit to pull the wire but a little concerned if vibrations will rub the wire. And, there is a small gap on top of the fairing. Second, mounting the grill/speakers was a PIA. You need to make sure the well nuts are in place so they don't push though. I think it would be better to mount the speakers, then mount the grills separate. Just my opinion of course.
