Stereo keeps shutting off the speakers and switching to head phones. Does it all by itself. Does it about every ten minutes. Beeping the horn switches it back to speakers. Switch problems?, or wiring somewhere?. It's not the stereo itself

Pull the fairing and check your connections. If your connections are all good. It is the Head Unit. Pretty much guaranteed.

The head unit had a melt down a few weeks ago. Symptoms were radio/cd intermittently working and battery going dead everyday. Sent the unit to iron cross after learning the handlebar riser bolts had damaged the mother board. I checked the wiring as best I could and I can see no issues. Other than the horn switch or internal wire harness I'm baffled
