So I have a 16' SGS and I think the system sounds like crap and want to upgrade it once and be done! I do plan on adding bag speakers shortly down the road and retain the 6.5 infotainment HU so what's the best bang for the buck with a great sound?
I will have a fairly loud exhaust so yes hearing it clearly at 80 would be nice and I would like to shoot for around $1k or les for the fairing two speaker setup but use a 4 channel amp for the future lids

U cannot go wrong with the BT4180 and the BT fairing pod replacement brackets. Get the forum discount!!!
From the u will have plenty of cash to get some very nice speaks. Do some good research on what speaks your ears want.
So what's the preffered fairing speakers that hit well I guess most of the good bass will come from the 6x9 lids?
Very tuff question. What I like may be very different from what ur looking for.
Nail down a price first, then the gang is certain to chime in. The are a few speaks that I would absolutely never put in my fairing again while others swear by those exact speaks. Very subjective.
I know sound is very subjective but I'm not going to skimp on the audio otherwise I will be unhappy and have to do it over which will cost more money so the answer is I will pay a higher premium for the right speakers.
Lou neither of those amps are known for producing a lot of bass. You have TN4.900? That one does! Then the Arcs have a low sensitivity. So if it was me using those two amps I'd go with the Hertz and get more volume from them.
