I was running the hertz Hcx 690's in the fairing, swapped the out for a pair of audio frogs, going to move the Hetz in the speaker lids, I need to change the surround in one of them that has a small tear. The Hertz are power hungry, I'm moving them to the back as they are rated 135 RMS, my thoughts are I can send more power to them, since there located in the back to get additional volume.

As a straight up comparison between Kappas and Hertz, without a doubt Hertz blows the Kappas away, thus the big difference in price.
I absolutely think so as ur stepping up into a different tier of speaker. Much better SQ with the Hertz and I think they are much warmer than the 6.5s /62.11s as well.
Don't let me wrong here, the Kappas are really damn good speaks for the cash.
I have the Mille pro 6x9 in my lids and man do they sound good, hit hard ( actually rattles one of my latches apart yesterday lol). I can hear them and feel them at 70mph. There on a ss pn4.1000 amp
