I have the Mille pro 6x9 in my lids and man do they sound good, hit hard ( actually rattles one of my latches apart yesterday lol). I can hear them and feel them at 70mph. There on a ss pn4.1000 amp
Putting the different in price apart, had someone compared the Mille Pro 6x9 to the Pioneer 6900 PRO?
How about lid speaker comparisons when going down the road at 75 mph riding on your XXX CID bike with heavy breather/stage 1 intake, FM-V&H-D&D/etc exhaust with your buddy on his bike directly in front of you. Parking lot sound becomes a thing of the past

lol. thats when you need loud clear fairing speaks
anybody runnning these in their bag lids? good, bad or otherwise? hertz 6x9s?
Not sound quality or volume related:
Not sure what year bags you are running or what brand of lid but take mounting depth into consideration. This may not affect sound but it does affect other things like ease of lid closure, tour pack clearance while closing/opening the lids, possible paint damage to your bags.
I'm going through the above right now with Kappa 6x9's and HogTunes 2014+ lids. The big magnet contacts the upper lip of the bags when opening or closing the lids. I have to pull up on the lid which then creates a possible clearance issue with my tour pack. Have yet to test this but with what little clearance there was before the speaker install, I'm sure either the tour pack will have damage or the bags will have damage.
Currently looking for a shallower mounting depth speaker that sounds as good if not better than the Kappa's. I originally went with the Kappa's due to budget and how good the 6.5's sound.
