That break in is going to kill me. I'm an immediate gratification kind of guy.
Thanks for the advice.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the SQ and loudness at 1/2 volume.

I am still looking for the sound that best suits my old ears. I am pulling the fairing again to adjust the LL and probably move the ground. While I'm there I will also play with the crossover. I'm still really a novice so please humor me. What is the effect of setting the crossover at 0 or -6? More highs at 0 or -6? It is set in the middle -3 now and seems like I could use a little more clarity to the highs. Thanks!

You will get more volume at 0 then -3 or -6 will be least volume, the - is just that it reduces the volume by -3 db's or reduces the volume by -6 db's hope this helps!

Just volume? I thought crossovers affected frequency range. Hmmm. Well maybe a little more tweeter volume could help.

I have found that adjusting the system with the fairing off is very difficult because the sound is so different when you stick it back on. The fun of bike audio I guess.

Setting the HPF on the LL VERT tricky. Are you handy with a DMM?

Not really Bert. I have a digital multi meter but really have no idea how to set HPF. Would I connect to the speaker leads out of the LL? What would I look for? Now I am really over my head...

Well let me ask this as I dumb it all down. Given that I have a BT 2180 amp that I am running with Focal KRC165s in the fairing and BT Titan II 6.5s in the lowers, is there a number on the DMM that I should shoot for when adjusting the LL? (also, what scale on the DMM would I use?)

I know this may not be perfect or the best way for the best tuning but given my limited skill this is probably as good as I could get. I know there is a sticky on setting gains by ear and I have tried to follow it but it gets over my head quickly. Thanks to all once again!!!

I don't know how this would work running two pair of speakers in parallel. I would suggest leaving the HPF as is.

Well of course Bert, being the dumb you know what that I am and thinking I can make it better I played with it when I got it. I have tried to reset it to where photos have been provided on the forum showing the settings but I imagine I should have just left well enough alone. I even gave some thought to just getting another one from BT and not messing with it. ha ha. Thanks again for your help
