Well of course Bert, being the dumb you know what that I am and thinking I can make it better I played with it when I got it. I have tried to reset it to where photos have been provided on the forum showing the settings but I imagine I should have just left well enough alone. I even gave some thought to just getting another one from BT and not messing with it. ha ha. Thanks again for your help
First you will want to line them up with the default marks.
You will need a test tone to balance them. The 315Hz 0db will work. You will find one in this download.
The VAC measurements using the DMM will be taken from the RCA outputs at the LL.
Disconnect the RCA's from the LL.
Connect the positive lead from the DMM to the center of the RCA plug and the negative to the outside. See pics.
Using the 315Hz test tone set the volume on the HU to 15 and adjust the VAC on each RCA plug so they are balanced and very close to default or a hair under. The VAC should be around 1.0 volts. Let me know what you find.
One of the side effects of adjusting the HPF on the LL is that it also changes the VAC at the speaker outputs on the amp.
So while you have the equipment out you can reset the gains at the speaker outputs on the amp.
Using a 1000Hz -5dB test tone at volume 15 on the HU. Using the DMM set the VAC to 24.50 volts on both channels.
