This goes way beyond just Focal Sometimes it is easy to get answers from the manufacturer. But when you get opinions and info that just doesn't add up, hang up and talk to someone you know would know. Arc gave me some good info on my crossover point. Not their speakers just their amp. So it is a hit and miss.
Some of us including myself have been spoiled by Biketornics excellent no pressure honest support.

Bert I couldn't agree more.
Biketronics and Fuel Moto are two of the best at it as far as great products and service. And most importantly giving their time to coach those that need questions answered.
I'm proud to say I have products from both of them on my bike.
I had Focal VB 165 components in my fairing for three years/20k miles and they performed flawlessly. Rode in plenty of rain/sleet/humidity/etc. Only reason I removed them was after I added my 4180 amp and went with BT 7.1 Pro's. Quite honestly, I miss the tone of the Focals but have no concerns with amp power.
I been using focal now for over 3 years Peter Jensen at Soundz Customs hooked me up originally and I haven't looked back.. great quality and sound never a warranty issue at all..

Amen bro!!! Dig the higher tier Focal speaker products and ain't looking back either.
No where on here was DO NOT RUN Focal stated. It was stated they are not favorable to their product in motorcycle applications. They want sales and let a select few be their preferred vendors. Call Peter and ask to buy a set of just speakers and get his response to that request. He will not sell them solely. An agreement made with Focal. The goal of this was to be sure you get sound advice when seeking support on a product from a manufacturer. When I call a manufacturer to get a spec on a product not listed, and I get a bunch of poor feedback for my application then I will not buy it. Example it was stated the Arc 600.4 does not have a dc filtering circuit and has caused tons of warranty issue. When the Arc actually has a dc protection circuit if any dc current is detected on the speaker output. Also that amp is what Peter at sounds uses. Focal is a great product but they are not the all to go to gods of what is out there. Neither is Hertz. But for bike audio and efficiency they are a easy selection for quality sound with minimal power.
Just to add another perspective....I had Focal KRC's, pulled them out and never looking back either!!
This pile of crap going in when back from vacation. Still waiting for t400( be here tomorrow) and bag lids ( end of week) all waiting for when I get back.
