Ignore this post.... I already asked the question earlier and Gans and SBates said they noticed no worthwhile difference. Sorry for the duplicate...brain fart.
I may be nuts but you guys tell me. I have a 2180 I originally set up with BT 7.1s in the fairing then I added lowers with Titan IIs running in parallel off my 2180. This week I swapped the 7.1s for KRC 165s. I would like to be able to fade between the fairing and lowers plus get the best sound and punch out of both sets of speakers.
With Father's Day coming up and a likely sale at BT I am thinking of upgrading to a 4180. Don't they usually have a sale and isn't that in addition to our forum 10%?
Ok, would it be worth it? I can likely sell my 2180 fairly quick since it is only a few months old and darn near new to offset some of the cost. I do know I would also have to flash for 4 speakers no amp.
Thanks!

Good advise.

To fade between the two pair of speakers you will need a four channel amp. In doing so you will increase the resistance from 2ohm to 4ohm. You will also need another LL. You will gain some power but with the KRC's rated at 80watts don't need the extra power and you don't want to over power them. I would leave the AVC OFF. The BT6.5's may benefit from the extra power in there location.
If you have not had the HU flashed you will want to have it flashed to stock, NO AMP, fade and rear speaker outputs enabled.

The last sale BT had was a flat 15% off. Not combined with the 10% forum discount. You will just have to wait and see what they offer.

Well that's up to you. The main feature you will gain is fade.
