Default Speaker Wiring Question

I have an Arc Moto 600.4 amp. I am placing DD VO 6.5 and VO B3 (new 4 ohm diaphragm ones...not 8 ohm) in the fairing and Arc Moto 602 in my tour pack pods.

My main question is how should I run the B3? Do I run them off the same channel with the DD VO 6.5 or do I run them off the head unit (kenwood kmr-d765bt).

I also wanted to see if you think I should place the B3 in the gauge pods next to speedo or the lower gauge pods next to HU location.

thank for any input you can give. The bike is tore apart and ready to start installing

I have those same horns. Run them off the Moto. I run mine off the Hertz HDP4 and they sound excellent! Use the gauge holes on both sides of the radio.

How would you wire them? Would you use the same channels as the DD VO 6.5, since the other 2 channels will be connected to the Arc Moto 602?

not to deflate your purchase, but I'm curious why you purchased two speakers with VERY different sensitivities, and mids and horns without a plan on how to wire them. I only say this because folks come on here after they've purchased something they saw on Facebook or a video posted somewhere without having the whole picture.

To do it "right", horns need their own channel when put in the fairing considering they too likely have an even higher sensitivity than the mid woofers. If you wire them with the woofers you can only give your woofers as much power as the horns can take which is significantly less when placed a foot from your face. The mids don't play full range so off your radio is probably not enough either to keep up with 150w to your DD's. The other side to this is you will likely need to lower the gains some on the fairing speakers to have balance with your rear speakers as the fairing DD's will get loud MUCH faster than your pods. I remember having DD's 6.5 in my fairing and Hertz HCX 690's in my lids and at half volume I couldn't tell if my lids were on.

Haze.....no deflating here...I worked out this setup with LL247 after going over the type of music I listen to and what I wanted out of my system. He would have done the install, but I wanted to do the work myself and he is also 3.5 hours away. I like doing my own work because that is how I learn for future installs. I did systems in my cars back in the day, but it has been a long time and not everything converts over the same to motorcycles. I am sure LL247 will let me know how he envisioned doing the wiring, but he is currently at a bike event and I hate bugging people to much. I thought I would throw it out on the forum and get peoples take on it. I appreciate your input/concern. I was going to do the Mille's, but decided on this route....will see how it all works out.

Gotcha.

Like I said, not trying to be "that guy" just wanting to provide you info as I've experienced it with horns and those specific speakers, with that same amp. Let us know how it ends up, could be useful for the next guy!!
