Default quality weatherproof quick connects?

Ok I put together a shopping list to rerun the wiring for my new amp and lid speakers including quality RCA cables. The one item that I cannot find is quality weatherproof quick connects for the lid speakers. Someone mentioned using Delphi weatherpac connectors but they seem like they would be the weak link in the 12 ga twisted pair speaker wire. So what would you use if you wanted to maintain the quality throughout?

Why would you run 12g wire? Run 16g. The weatherpacks are a proven reliable connector. No, 12g wire will not work with those as they are intended for 16-18g. If your persistent on running that heavy wire ( which you do not need to) start the google search because the only other options are unsealed that I am aware of. 2 wire trailer wiring connector, or battery cable quick connects. Neither of which are weather sealed and will corrode.

I believe you are actually doing yourself an injustice by using 12 awg wire. 16 is all you need. I bought rc car battery connectors. They have gold plated connections. You have to solder and assemble them. No corrosion issues with mine. I've rode in all weather conditions, no issue.

Another thing learned, I was assuming that 12ga would be better than 16ga. If weatherpacks are the proven method that is what I will use, I just assumed that there must be something better. Thanks for straightening me out and probably saving me a few bucks.

You could always use Mil Spec connectors. Not cheap but they have a variety of connectors for almost all wires.
