My wife's TriGlide has two antenna leads in her tourpak. One is hooked up and the other is just laying there. What's the second one for?
In many cases there is a hidden antenna that is installed and this extra cable is for the exterior antenna than can be screwed in at the rear exterior of the bike should that be desired.
No, it is stock with the antenna's that came on her. It's not for the CB. That one is set up differently. I have a 2007 Ultra that does not have both leads.
Sorry, not the CB. It's lead runs down the right side of the tour-pak and is completely different from the AM/FM side. There is no provision for the lead in question to attach to on the CB antenna.
Are you sure it's not an antenna ground wire someone forgot to hook up?

something aint right there. Mine looks exactly like yours but only 1 lead to the CB antenna. Maybe PO thought it needed a better cable or a different CB altogether?? On my 2K it has a donut looking thing that I assume reduces interference from the engine. I can take a pic tonight and post it if you like.
Should have am/fm antenna on the left and CB on the right.
Some of the new bikes don't come with a CB, like they used to.
Harley wants you to pay extra and have it installed.
I'd think the wiring would be there as a selling point.
Easy to add at the factory but if needed after the sale, it would take too much work and time and turn off a possible CB update.
