I just called Biketronics to speak with bill and I was told he no longer works there and apparently has been gone for a few months now? Anyone know anything about this?
Things happen, companies move on. Mike the owner is still there and some day will have a replacement for Bill. It's too bad Bill moved on for Biketronics but they will continue to provide the same quality product and services. I look at it as Bill likely moved on to a bigger better opportunity and congrats to him.
Well the reason I called him is I originally purchased my Sony HU CDX-GT660UP from BT and I was happy with it but up until recently its been cutting out while riding due to the vibrations in the bike and the road conditions in other words loosing contact between the contacts due to it being a detachable face and its driving me nuts!! So I have been looking to replace the unit with a Non-detachable faceplate style but with CD,USB,Aux,Bluetooth,Pandora,Sirius,Etc,Etc with a good Output Voltage and a decent price?? suggestions welcomed! I do have some guys telling me to get the Kenwood KMR-D765BT which looks like a nice HU for the cost BUT it still has the damn detachable face so that has me concerned and skeptical................

I had a similar problem with vibration using the Kenwood 998 and the BT floating radio mount. I replaced it with the Metra 99-9600 solid mount and the problem went away.

We've been using a lot of the Kenwood KMRD765BT's lately and with good result. As for longevity, that always remains to be seen. Electronics and bikes can be an interesting combo over time lol
Wow, I was always under the impressions Bill was Biketronics... as in owner.

So are you saying that I may have the BT floating radio mount? I did purchase everything as a package from BT back in 2013
