I just order a Tsukayu Fairing that comes ready for a pair of 6 x 9 speakers.
After doing some research here and off the forum I was almost set on the following setup
Kenwood KDC-X998
Arc Moto 600.4
Hertz Mille Pro MPX690.3 Pro
As part of my research I hadfound this thread here and I asked if these were the best 6 x 9 out there. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/audio...x-165-3-a.html
Didn't get any response until this morning, and what a surprise when I heard from a very respected member here (Gannicus) that in his opinion these speakers were hands down the best sounding 6x9 he had tested.
I would like to hear other opinions on this setup to make a decision in which way to go.
I listen mostly to Rock, Country and Latin Music, but also listen FM a lot and I found that there is certain issues with Amps class D interfering with the FM.
I also ordered a set of bags and eventually I will be putting speakers there too, but I want to have the fairing sort out first.
Thanks in advance and all opinions are welcome.
Now that we know "The rest of the story", I'm not so sure I'd run those Pioneers. Not that they won't do a helluva job. It's just that the Pioneer and its grill has gotta be one of the ugliest speakers I've ever laid my eyes on. Mounted in the lids is one thing because you can't see them. If you can get past the looks of them mounted in your fairing I say go for it. You will not be disappointed in the results.

+1
Big difference in speakers intended for lids vs ones a foot from your head!

Holy Cow Man! Had no idea you were talking about 6x9's in the fairing!! Bates is right man! The grills are ugly as sin!! You don't want those speakers in your fairing....lol!! Okay now that we know "The rest of the story" Your best 6x9 speaker in the fairing with the Arc Moto is going to be a 2 ohm speaker like the JBL or infinity. Both have really nice grills. If you can find another grill I still like the Pioneers but that grill is butt *** ugly!! That said. Here's a disclaimer for any newbies planing on making the pioneer purchase. THE PIONEER PRO TS-6900 ARE STRICTLY LID SPEAKERS!! NOT SADDLE BAG. NOT FAIRING. LIDS!!!

I'm still not sure what "the rest of the story" actually is. You mentioned the 6x9 and also Millie Pro 16.3???, but also attached a link for the Millie Pro MPX 165.3??? Help me help you bro!!!! The 165.3 are 6.5" speakers.
U talking about putting the Hertz Millie Pro MPX 690.5 in the fairing? If not, what Hertz 6x9s r u talking about?
And totally agree with G and gang, if ur talking fairing for 6x9, do not use the Pioneer Pro 6900 2 feet from your face as they will possibly damage your facial tissue.
