I know this system is not a popular option here on these forums, but I went ahead and installed it in my 15 sgs last night and had the dealer flash done this morning. The reasons I went with the Stage II above other systems is because:
1) Listening to the two speaker systems in Sturgis this year, I felt that they would all meet my needs of hearing music better at 80 mph.
2) install was all plug and play (with dealer flash)
3) did the install myself and it cost me under $800 for the Amp, Speakers (Boardtracker HD) and labor for the Flash ($50).
4) I did not want to deal with any magic boxes, or any proprietary equipment that may not work with the next Harley Firmware Update.
The install took about 3 hours taking my time. The hardest part was dropping the speaker pods, which was pretty easy after finding the right tool, and moving some wires out of the way. I can say that I was nervous making sure to not do anything to turn on the radio after the installation and before taking it to the dealer. After the flash I was very happy with the sound, I could finally hear my radio clearly at 80 mph. I didn't hear any of the poping or fading that others have indicated, my guess is that Harley has finally figured out the firmware. All and all I am pretty happy with the cost and the way it turned out.
As long as you're happy, that's all that matters. I know if HD does a firmware update and makes my system obsolete, they'll be off my list,, I'll take the stock HU and use it for a boat anchor, and buy a nice Double Din HU and put it in. Then go get a garmin to use for my navigation,,,

Garmin with real time moving map weather radar!!!
Congrats to the OP!!! You liking it is all that matters, but when u grow out of it make sure you check back in with this forum before taking the next plunge.
Is that real time and future radar, or what already happened?
The reason I'm asking is because all the apps I found for the phones don't give future radar forecast except for The Weather.com.
Most of them may have the radar of what happened a few minutes ago. What do I need that for?
For what is worth the future forecast is not accurate at all either.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Stage II setup from HD and I've said that before. Hands down it's the best HD/HK have done so far with the audio aspect of these bikes.

If u were to recommend a setup for a Rushmore Brotha, where would the HD Stage II setup rank in your top 5 setups with comparable budgets?
hahah.. Stage II and budget do not belong in the same sentence.
the guys IMO that do the Stage II either negotiate it in the deal of the new bike or add it shortly after to make sure they stay within their manufacturer or ESP warranty plan but certainly doesn't change the fact that it sounds pretty f-ing good. Surprised the hell out of me when I first heard it.
I think if I had the budget of a Stage II kit to build my audio with, I would look elsewhere. It ain't cheap.
