Man I REALLY appreciate the help. Gann is the one that suggested the setup and to bridge it. As far as the speakers I was under the impression they would mount on the outside but the tweeter makes contact with the plastic inside the grill. I'm guessing that would be an issue when the speaker is really working.
If Gann suggested it then you should be good but 300w is to much. 200w is more like it. Touch base with Gann on which speaker outputs to set the voltage.
Do not give those speakers 300watts. Yes - bridge the amp but that doesn't mean to give the speakers the full amount from the amp! 200w is much more realistic.
I'm in the middle of installing a cvb54 ( bridged) to a set of hertz hcx on my 2016 sgs. I have a lot of questions as this seems way different than my install on my 2012
1) do I have feed from the bt355 to both inputs on the amp because I'm bridged? I only have one LL so if so I'm assuming I have to find a splitter to input both sides of the amp
2) do I need to hook up the remote wire? My old setup didn't use one, I believe it was due to high level inputs
3) what position should the switches on the amp be in. 2/4 channel? Turn on?
Thanks for any help
I found that if you use splitters and feed both sides of the amp and set the switch to 4 it sounds better, like it's in stereo.
The hcx are a tight fit behind the fairing. I mounted mine outside the pods like factory but put a couple washers on the bolts between the pods and inner fairing to get more clearance.

I have these on my SGS and they will work mounted on the outside of the pods but you need the boom II grills or the ones from CS. I also drilled 6 half inch ports in the each of the pods and a light (not packed) fill of fiberfill.

Well just wanted to thank everyone for all the help that was given. Finished up the install last night and everything works as designed. The hertz ended up inside the pods due to the tweeter/grill issue. I'm not sure what I did wrong but the results are less than stellar for sure. Volume is the same or possibly slightly less than the stock stuff. Sound is also not noticeably any better. The amp is bridged, switched to 2 channel input. I set the gain using a dmm to 28volts with the bike running on a 1000hz test tone. Not sure what else to do
Are you positive the amp is turning on? You've got something amiss here for sure.
The power light comes on and I set the gain using the dmm. As I turned up the gain the voltage climbed so I believe it is working. Unless I'm setting the gain wrong I have no idea what else it could be. Fwiw the gain ended up between 10-11 o'clock front and back

Can you post a couple of pics on how the amp is wired and the amp settings?
