I'm in the middle of installing a cvb54 ( bridged) to a set of hertz hcx on my 2016 sgs. I have a lot of questions as this seems way different than my install on my 2012
1) do I have feed from the bt355 to both inputs on the amp because I'm bridged? I only have one LL so if so I'm assuming I have to find a splitter to input both sides of the amp
2) do I need to hook up the remote wire? My old setup didn't use one, I believe it was due to high level inputs
3) what position should the switches on the amp be in. 2/4 channel? Turn on?
Thanks for the quick answer. I'm search and it appears I should be tapping into the cig lighter/ power port on the lower right fairing. Is this ok to use?

If you are using the power port for POWER to the amp, no I'd go straight to the battery. I would guess you have a remote wire in there, My 15 RGS had a specific REMOTE hookup already in it's bundle coming from the HU. (For their amps I presume, since we KNOW they don't want us putting in a GOOD system, they don't make it easy anyway)

Power and ground are 8ga straight to the battery. Just looking for a spot to tap for remote and now looking for info on the tweeter/ stock grill issue. Thanks for the response

You can pickup power from the lighter or the P&A plug next to the HU. The vilot/blue wire is 12v. See pics below.
I don't have RG so can't answer your question on grills other than I know that Biketronics has grills and spacers for there speakers as shown in this kit.

Thanks for the help. My bike is actually an sgs. It looks like I'm going to mount inside the pods and hope for the best. Any tips for setting gains. I have a dmm just not sure exactly how to figure out what the voltage should be

From what I understand the Hertz HCX speakers can be mounted on the outside of the pods the same as the stock speakers.
Bridging the B54 will produce around 300w per channel. That seem like to much power for those speakers to me. I think 200w is more like it which would be 28VAC. With the speaker disconnected I would use a 1000Hz -5dB test tone with the volume set 15 on the HU. Bass & Treble set to flat, fade to the middle and AVC OFF. Once your done hook the speakers back up and listen to it. If you detect any distortion you will want to reduce the gains until the distortion is gone.

Man I REALLY appreciate the help. Gann is the one that suggested the setup and to bridge it. As far as the speakers I was under the impression they would mount on the outside but the tweeter makes contact with the plastic inside the grill. I'm guessing that would be an issue when the speaker is really working.
