The only amp you can run on those is the stage 1 factory boom amp. if the bike is already wired from the head unit for an amp it's as simple as plug and play. If not, in which I'm willing to bet it's not, then you will need the amp harness/install kit from Harley. Install the new amp no harness and your speakers and rock out brother.
Here's what you need.
Now on the other hand you can cut the loss on the speakers, hell relist them and maybe someone will buy them, and take that 600.00(or less about 425-50) you were going to spend for the boom amp and install kit and you can get an aftermarket amp/speakers/wiring kit that will make you happy.
No ones trying to beat you up I assure you but we've all at one time bought into the "boom" possibility AND that's why we all have aftermarket instead. Spend a little time here and read up before you buy. I can promise you it will open up a wealth of info that you will be more than happy with in the end. When/if you have questions, ask us.
I also have a Streetglide and am wanting to upgrade my sound system. One thing I wanted to do was add the Harley factory iPod kit so I could use the handlebar controls to access the music on my iPod. I was then contemplating going with 2 new Hogtunes speakers for the fairing and also adding their tweeter bar that mounts underneath the windshield bag. I was going to also buy the Hogtunes 4 channel amp and just use 2 channels until I am ready to add a tour pack and speaker pods for the wife.
Does this seem like a good plan to you guys?
Thanks
Joe

FYI, my HT speakers lasted a week in my sled.

T...you must have been very gentle on your hogtunes to get a week out of them, im guessin i got about 4 miles out of mine on their maiden voyage this spring
joe, forget the hogtunes and tweeter bar, which im guessing is at least $350. try a cerwinvega B52 amp,2 kappa infinity 62,11i speakers, 2 metra 5.25/6.5 speaker adapters, some 8ga power, ground wires with an inline fuze and a pac sni line out converter. and $4 worth of polyfil all for under $300

Not a good plan bro! Hog Tunes is arguably a better system than factory. But that's where it begins and ends. If you are serious about upgrading your system I would suggest staying as far away from hog tunes as possible. Hog Tunes was one of my first upgrades 10 years ago and after I got it installed. I honestly could not tell the difference from stock. $1000 bucks later.
No problem using your Ipod to access music but you are going to need a much better amp and speakers.

I looked up the Cerwin Vega equipment and certainly like the price for sure. I think I will go with the B54 amp so I have the extra 2 channels for future use. I am going to order tonight. I'll let you guys know as I get it going. I like the HD iPod interface kit. I know it is significantly more expensive than the PAC, but, I like the idea of using the handlebar controls to access the iPod.

remember, the b54 is underpowered in 4 ohm, so stick to 2 ohm speakers, if thats not your longterm goal, get a stronger amp. the b52 has good power in both 2 and 4 ohm setups. the pac sni-35 is simply a line out converter that takes your current speaker wires and adapts them to RCA jacks

U might even check out the SS PN4 1000 if u plan on expanding your system.
As for the HD IPod interface kit, I'm gonna have to dig in a bit and see if there is any value there. I have a 2014 FLHXS and my iPod nano just stays plugged into the sled and I can pull any song, genre, artist, playlist etc all with OEM handle bar controls. Not sure what else this kit would need to provide.
Update, I see no value in this kit for a Rushmore sled so I hoping u just saved yourself $399.00 bucks!!!!!!!!
