Do a search and you won't like what you find. Cut your losses and start over.

First and foremost Welcome to the Forum! The reviews are weak for a reason. Not the audio system you want on your new bike. Tough to hear but we try to be as honest as possible here. My suggestion would be to read as many post as possible on this forum before you make any final decisions on your sound system.

There are many knowledgeable guys on this forum who have been where you're going and are willing to help you every step of the way. We are going to need a budget to work with and your goals for your new system.

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of really knowledgeable people here who can help you make sound decisions about your audio goals. Not to rain on your parade but you are not going to be happy with those speakers no matter what you do. Use the search function on this forum for a great deal of informative ideas. I hate to say it but re-list those speakers and cut your losses.

Well the reason I moved forward with the eBay buy on the Boom stage 1 is a great deal on four speakers.
I have a Street Glide and I've installed detachable tour pak and speaker pods. I was planning on at some point to install good speaker amp combo. Since the four speakers came at such a low price I went for it.
My thought was to buy a good amp now so when I recoup from the tour pak/speaker pod purchase, I'll upgrade the speakers. Budget? Well I'm more into the ride than the sound of the sound system, so looking for good quality without a bank buster. I see a few out there Joe Rocker/J&M. I have a Kenwood system in my 1950 GMC and it's works great for my needs.
Looking forward to any advice on amps/speakers,

thanks

The Boom Stage 1 or 2 would not be a great deal if you got them for free.
Here's the problem Jim with what your wanting to do...just about the only amp that you can run on these speakers is the Harley Boom amp. These speakers are gonna distort no matter what amp you push them with. With distortion comes failure. Sorry to say it brother but they were on eBay at a great price for a reason. Sorry for your loss.

Not beating up on you at all brother. We're just trying to keep you from losing more money and frustration in an effort to get a decent sound from the Boom crap.

I am no Boom expert, but something that no one has mentioned, and again I say this to help out, not pick on the new guy. BE CAREFUL. Some of that Boom stuff is 1 Ohm impedance!!! Not knowing your education level and again, only trying to steer you in the right direction, 1 Ohm resistance is almost a dead short and will cook stuff if not matched properly. Others have said it, we have a great group of very helpful people here and we are all here to help you succeed in your audio venture. Believe me, I and most of the others here have learned the hard way more than once!!! Hope this helps.
