+1 on the dragos. Sounds great when you get on it but mellows nicely when cruising. Quality of construction is every bit as good as d&d. Can't beat the sound when you roll off the throttle
you know where i stand Bunker. Sorry about accidently calling you this morning lol.
My wife is the opposite, the louder the better lol.
Let's see I've had CFR, RCX 4.5, V&H Hi-Outputs, V&H OS450s, Rush Big Louie w/2.5" baffle, and MGS w/ loud baffle; all on my Dresser Duals.
Id still have the OS450s if they were louder, but i feel these retained low end tourqe better than any of the ones i listed. I feel these with power duals, or any good X pipe, make for a great deep, throaty, easier on the ears, all day riding setup. Nice on power too.
My favorite sounding one was the RCX 4.5. I was really hoping these would be the ones, but i couldn't get over the drone they produced while at cruising speed.
Now here's the funny thing. The loudest and meanest of these slip on's are the MGS. Not as deep as the OS450s or RCX 4.5, but they really mellow out nice at cruising speeds. People i ride with say they sound like a deeper, louder, meaner Rinehart. And they hate being behind me when we go under over passes lol.
You can always go with the tried and true go to a bike night and listen to a many bikes as you can till you hear the right one. Which should be easier this time of year in Texas than here in Michigan lol.
Good luck, and the 602s will be heading your way soon.
I just installed a Fuel Moto E Series universal muffler on my pro pipe header. No test ride yet but in the garage it seems quieter, deeper and not as raspy as the pro. Here's a quick vid.
I run Rinehart with off road baffles and S&S power tune duals. Nice low rumble and bark when you want it . I can hear the audio just fine until I hit the throttle hard.
Look into the RB Racing Black Hole, great sound, but made for Touring bikes!
now that looks bad ***!
2 problems though, A. it's slash down or side out - B. their website is like trying to navigate with the Boom GPS, all it makes me want to do is throat punch someone
