What a thread! nice topic,I am installing jlmhx280/4 bridged off of alpine 9886m,pn41000d ,did the same thing called JL tech they said all 4 low level rca needed for stereo bridged.thats 4 y adaptors, hmm going to try it mono see what it sounds like.In my stereo install days at the shop we never stereo y adapted in those days, how about about a quad male RCA adaptor cable ? When I started installing the amps were 3 times the size they are now !

What do u guys thing about these little bastards coming out of the BT355? Or LOC? Possibly kind of cheap looking but if we can find some good quality ones, the end result has some potential for me to have an RCA yard sale.
Well I sure am glad that this rca Y splitting mono/stereo BS that has been causing me sleepless nights has a little more to it than I first thought.
Right now I have JL and the NVX hooked per JL stereo instruction's had it all dialed in until I went to clean up wiring and somewhere I got y"s crossed so with so many of them EXTRA CAUTION must be used.
Todd if those little adapters work out for you let us know. With the three amps in the fairing I am just plain out of needed room as many time as I take fairing on and off it needs to be less complicated.
Good luck to all the rest that are also fighting this.

You'd be better off going this route if your wanting to do something like this.
So tell me folks, what are the general consensus on the type of rca Y adapter? 1 male plug split into 4 male/females plugs?

I've used these in the past and they work great, but you'll still need RCA cords. I think that the difference in sound quality/signal for these + RCA cords versus an RCA splitter cord will be negligible.
Did I miss something? Why are we talking about a 4-way splitter when bridging a 4 channel amp to 2 channels?
Testnevo I would think one male to four female with female ends just a little different lengths so when tieing up would not have such a large bundle and no cross shorting .Also the adapter that you and tailwind posted have to be better than what I have going on now.

That's kind of what I was thinking.
Let me work up a price some time next week on making up some. If I can get a general idea on lengths needed that would help too.

Come on man, you know 5 minutes away from here can a posting can change drastically, lol.
The issue I'm hearing about is guys running multiple amps off of 1-2 line levelers don't have enough rca source plugs, for the amp inputs, without having huge bundles of multiple rca adapters. So we're on another mission now to correct this.

Thanks! I'm back on the same page as you guys. I'll try not to blink, less I be left behind, again.
