Good idea ,ill have to do that before install. Should make wire run a little cleaner, I wanted the gray pod to help with the gray woofer at least they don't say hey look at me anymore.

It is straight forward remove the 4 screws from the back side and then unplug tweeter wires look where wires go up around the woofer there are wire hold down points carefully remove wire from hold down and feed wire up to woofer. I stopped when wire terminals got to woofer mounting ring did not seam like terminals where going to pass threw remember if you cut wires speaker warranty is VOID. Tape wires paint grills. I put a socket over the tweeter and painted or you could tape tweeter. thought about paint brush and air brushing tweeter pod but Warranty and hassle plus color combo of none painted works for me.
The only thing jl did wrong was make tweeter none removable its glued in the grill. Your going to want more of these I promise they absolutely sound great.
