That Soundstream is a great amp with those speakers as long as you are okay with losing your FM radio reception. Most guys don't want to lose it. That's why I suggested the PBR300X2. But if you're okay with it. The SS sounds better than the Rockford amp.

It's a crap shoot bro! Some guys don't lose it and some guys do. I'd say you might get the local stations okay if you live close to a major city. But if you're out in the country the reception is pretty much non existent.

Yes sir. With all of the other "radio" options available these days I really would try and tap into those resources and get the amp with the best sound quality. Keeping FM really limits your choices. Unfortunate, but just one of the many sled audio challenges.

Just wanted you to be aware that if you go with a new head unit you will lose your CB, weather-band and possibly the handlebar controls (unless you add an adapter cable to retain them which = more money).
From what I've read, the unit that Gannicus recommended is a good unit.
The Rockford Fosgate PBR300x2 will keep your FM but the sound quality isn't as good as the SoundStream, especially at higher volumes.
I just installed the JL Audio MHX280/4 and my FM reception hasn't been affected at all. However, since it's a Class D amp, there's no guarantee that the next one won't affect FM. As some have said, it's a crap shoot.
It all boils down to which features are "must haves", which ones you can live without and how deep your pockets are.
For the way I ride my bike and use my stereo (highway trips): I need the CB radio, I want hand controls, I like the weather-band radio (when conditions are changing) and if it works, FM is nice.
