We are going to Destin in a couple months and I would like the ability to listen to music cruising along the beach. Low speed and I have a windshield. Not looking for top of the line sound by any means but also don't want to flat waste money. Are the $100 handlebar speaker and amp systems decent? Any brand better than another?
I understand it won't be great, but how bad will a $100-150 system be? I passed on a Pyle in the classifieds here about a year ago and it seemed well received.
Friends of mine have used the different brands of the handlebar mount type speaker systems. They sound ok when you are not moving or moving very slow but once you get up to 40 and above you can barely hear them. Some will say that theirs sounds great but I think that's because they already purchased the product and don't want to admit that it was a mistake.
As was stated, ear buds if that truly is your budget.
I have a Kenwood 4 channel Bluetooth amp powering two 4 inch Polk audios in pods and it sounds pretty good. This setup is way better than those boss or shark all in one deals.
hi mate a bit of input from the uk
i have just bought a hcp4 HERTZ amp and a pair of front speakers in 6.5's they are ecx 165.5
fitted today for $250 the lot on my 2011 street glide and it sounds great at 85mph
Has anyone made their own housing for a couple 4" speakers? Seems like the high price comes in buying the Moro specific stuff which is lower quality until you spend big bucks.
