Default 15 Ultra low lower fairing speaker pod

Hey Everyone, been a very long time since I have posted here. I no longer have the night train, I have owned an Ultra low for 2 years now and LOVE IT. I am in the process of upgrading to RF PBR 300x4 amps, new speakers, 6x9 in the bags, and lower fairing speakers. Now my question is this. I bought advanblack speaker pods for the lower fairings, left side pretty ok, i had to make some modification to fit over the fan that is place in there, so much to my surprise, when i pulled off the right side fairing, low and behold, there is a bunch of stuff in there, fan and what might be part of the cooling system. So my speaker pod in no way shape or form is going to fit in there. Does anyone know of a pod that will fit with the stock fairings? As an add on or something, I dont think I am up for moving all that stuff in the right lower fairing somewhere else! Thanks Everyone!

They do make pods for the liquid cooled bikes, but not very pleasing to the eye imho.

More importantly, you may want to reconsider the 300x4, it doesn't have the power needed to push much of anything. The 300x2 is an ok entry level amp for a set of 2 ohm speaks, the 300x4 isn't good for much of anything compared to other amps.

Do you know who sells them? A link maybe? Thanks! Ill be running 2 of the RF amps, 1 for the batwing and lower fairing, and 1 for the tour pack and 6x9 in the bags, hopefully that will power them enough! Thanks!

There's a post somewhere on the forum where a member relocated the coolant reservoir bottle to make room for the speaker.

Try searching here on the Audio Forum for coolant reservoir relocation or something along those lines.

Welcome back. I'm not trying to tell you what to do but he's right. That's not enough juice unless you're using some really low end speaks. I hate for you too install a system and be disappointed by it under performing if you could've given it enough power and had a different result. What speaks are you using?

I wasn't sure which idiot had done it but I knew it had to be one of the smarter ones.

I'm definitely impressed with your engineering skills.

WOW...That's a BIG CHART!!!

I agree that the PBR300X4 isn't the best choice for a 4 channel amp, especially in riding conditions. It simply doesn't produce enough good, clean power so that your speakers can be heard (with good sound quality & volume) when riding at highway speeds. Also, back when we first started installing this amp in our batwings, we found that it had some over-heating problems. I'm not sure if Rockford Fosgate addressed this issue or not.

Let us know about your speakers and your expectations for your system, then stand back and let us shower you with our opinions.

Ive got Pioneer 6.5's (TS-A1676R) rated at 320W max, and Ive got Pioneer 6x9's (TS-A6986R) rated at 600W max. I know I know, not the best speakers in the world and not water proof. I do plan on upgrading to something better, probably in a year or so, not in a big hurry. As of right now, I have the rear 6.5 and 6x9 hooked up to the Amp, i know its in the garage, but it sounds alot better than the stock ones did.
I know you lose bass as you go down the road at ??? mph, i just wanna kick back, kick on some Metallica and cruise.
Thank you all for the help I really do appreciate it!

84 watts to a 320 & 600 watt speaker. They have more to give but it's definitely better than stock. Wrap the speakers in hydrophobic cloth and don't worry about the water. As long as you're happy... That's all that matters. When you get ready to upgrade c'mon back. Rock on and ride safe!
