Hey I have a sony xav-ax100 and a scosche hdswc2. Right now I have the four basic wires going to the head unit from the scosche red-red yellow-yellow black-black orange-orange plus the 3.5mm jack for the controls. Im using an amp so I didnt bother connecting the speaker wires. Anyways my issue is that it does not turn the head unit on. It doesnt even send 12v down the red wire when the ignition is on. The yellow wire recieves 12v constant like it should but the red does nothing...ever. Which is weird the red wire doesnt come from the factory harness plug like the hdswc1 does. Rather it comes from the interpreter box. My other issue with it is even when I hardwire the head unit to get it to turn on, the only controls I can get to work with the sony is volume up and down, nothing else does anything.
my suggestion to you would be get rid of that scosche piece of crap and get an AXXESS ASWC-1. Scosche has had issues with these things since they came out with the 1 version for 13 and prior bikes. those issues seem to be carried over to the 14 and up bikes as well.

I put the exact set up on my bike with no issues. I can check tonight on the wiring and get back to you. As for the controls not working you have to go into the settings on the Sony head unit and manually assign them. Only the volume up and down will work before assigning the others. Very Very easy to do. I can always give you a step by step if needed. Also, do not switch to the Axxess interface. Everything I have read and ran across is that you can not retain all options with the Axxess that you can with the Scosche. Hope this helps.

What options exactly that you cannot retain between the two?
A couple forums I have read guys are talking about the right joystick not functioning properly. I myself have not tried it so who knows it may work just fine. All i do know for sure is that the Scosche kit does work as intended.
I assure you there are literally thousands of AXXESS controllers floating around out there that have been installed and working perfectly fine even before Scosche came out with their controller

I'm not saying that there isn't thousands floating around, but why get rid of a piece of crap as you would say and switch to something else when more than likely its a wiring and programming issue with the other. It just seems like a waste of money to me. I've worked with Axxess, Pac, Scosche, and all the other interfaces out there. I'm not bias to one or the other. All I was saying is why change something that might not be broken.

sorry guess my response wasn't for the light-hearted and was solely based on my experiences (mostly bad) with several installs that I wound up having to remove and replace the scosche with the access controller.
Light hearted might be a bit of an understatement. It's just right off the bat you say to pull it out and replace it before offering assistance to try to figure out what is wrong with his. Maybe Scosche has the issues fixed with version 2 that you were having with version 1? I'm not trying to get in a pissing match over this. I just thought maybe try address the issue with his before replacing it. And who know, his very well might be bad.. Then I'd either get one warrantied or swap to the Axxess

no pissing contest at all. 2 differing opinions and I apologize that mine doesn't align with yours. I've used scosche products professionally since the early 80s and it's always been good product. This one, ah.. not so much! Tell me why it is you can't even download a user manual or installation instructions for either ver 1 or ver 2 from their website.
you can look back at over 13k posts where I HELP people but I call a spade a spade.
