no pissing contest at all. 2 differing opinions and I apologize that mine doesn't align with yours. I've used scosche products professionally since the early 80s and it's always been good product. This one, ah.. not so much! Tell me why it is you can't even download a user manual or installation instructions for either ver 1 or ver 2 from their website.
you can look back at over 13k posts where I HELP people but I call a spade a spade.
I hear ya. I apologize as well... And that exactly it, 2 different opinions. I'm not saying Axxess is bad and I'm not saying Scosche is god. I know there website doesn't show jack for manuals or instructions and I don't have the foggiest idea why? Apparently they like to keep to themselves? I've seen you post on here plenty of times.. I've been on here for quite some time. I'm just not much of a poster but I saw someone that had the same setup as me so I thought I'd try to help the situation.
And back then you couldn't get much else besides Scosche. At least I don't remember much else available. I personally thing they have came a long way since then. I use Metra, Axxess on a lot of my installs with car stereos, remote starts, and other misc wiring needs. I just hadn't heard anything bad with the Scosche ver 2 for installs on the newer bikes so I questioned it when he was having issues.
Hey I have a sony xav-ax100 and a scosche hdswc2. Right now I have the four basic wires going to the head unit from the scosche red-red yellow-yellow black-black orange-orange plus the 3.5mm jack for the controls. Im using an amp so I didnt bother connecting the speaker wires. Anyways my issue is that it does not turn the head unit on. It doesnt even send 12v down the red wire when the ignition is on. The yellow wire recieves 12v constant like it should but the red does nothing...ever. Which is weird the red wire doesnt come from the factory harness plug like the hdswc1 does. Rather it comes from the interpreter box. My other issue with it is even when I hardwire the head unit to get it to turn on, the only controls I can get to work with the sony is volume up and down, nothing else does anything.
