Default How hard can it be?

Seriously! I'm not electronically qualified. How hard would it be for me to do, stereo, amp, speakers, and tune it. When I have no idea how?
Just in the fairing of a 2012 street glide.
4-6hr ride, there back there back.to have someone do it for me. It's like a few more hours in the garage and it could be done without the inconvenience of the back & forth tour.

Wish someone made house calls......Lol!

If you can pull the fairing and gas tank and run power/ground from battery to amp you've got the basic skill set. Tuning the amp is just a little research and some patience. Plenty of help on here to get you through it.

I'm good with running the wires for power. But splicing, crimping, pimping, and all that stuff is were I come up short. Lol.

I'm not a butcher but my patience gets the best of me.

Does all the factory wiring stay? Like plug & play?

I went from never doing this stuff to installing a quick 2 speaker fairing setup to installing a 6 speaker fairing, lids, and bags (multi amps) all with the help of the guys here on the forum.

Alright, Matt....... What's the worst I could do? "F" it all up, Re-box it and ship it to someone who cares. Lol!

I'm not a fan of stopping at the butcher for steaks, then dropping them off at my favorite restaurant for them to prepare. You know what I'm saying?

You can do this man. Get a an Aquatic HU that's plug and play. No splicing or crimping needed there! Big time support network here to help you out.

Assuming you're keeping the stock head unit you will need to go from output of stock HU to low level (RCA plug). The connection may vary by amp, but if you need to cut this is where it will be, typically a simple crimp on butt connector takes care of it. After that it's usually plug and play from amp to speakers. Worst case may need another crimp on butt connector (or crimp on spade terminals for quick detach). It really is pretty easy.
