I picked up a pair of SBD lids with the JL M770s, with prep and paint I'm in a grand. Installed a pair of JL ZR650 CSI in the batwing and Arc Moto 600.4 picked up from the Forum over the winter. Under 40 mph or pimpin in the parking lot, sound is great, bass is okay. Faster I go, the less I get out of the lids...should I fade more power to the rears or is it just the physic's of sound and speed on a scooter?

Nature of the beast. The 770 is ok but never been a huge power player in the rear. The 880 has WAY more output. But at the end of the day unless you have a major rear stage the front will always play over the rear. I find fading to the rear to have more balanced sound a pointless endeavor personally.
Eights and 6x9 in rear currently working on sending more power back there hoping to get
at least fill noise. Mama not happy if fade to the rear she looses front right now she is so happy , she cant understand what I am complaining about.
I loved the sound of the M770's when parked or around town but out on the highway... well I don't have them anymore so that should tell you. I had about 175 watts going to them, I'm not sure you want to go much more than that to them.
I am much happier with the 602's in the Tour Pak pods tbo. Hell the M770's are basically 6.5's anyway
I loved the look and quality of those SBD lids too, still do. If I could get those lids with just 8's I'd buy them again in a heartbeat! I just don't care for the ones with the horns in them.
Only other option is the voodoo lids and I'm not a voodoo fan.
